Terms of Use
Acceptance of These Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Hisaab: Prayer & Qada Tracker ("Hisaab" or "the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Purpose of the App
Hisaab is a personal tool that helps you estimate missed (qadāʾ) prayers, build a repayment plan, and track your daily and make-up prayers, based on information you provide.
Accuracy of Calculations
All totals, estimates, and reminders in the App are calculated from the information and settings you provide (such as your age, missed-prayer periods, chosen school of thought, and calculation method), and are only as accurate as that information. You are responsible for reviewing what you enter and for using your own judgment about the results.
Account Responsibilities
If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Please contact us promptly (see "Contact" below) if you believe your account has been compromised.
Backup and Data-Loss Risk
By default, Hisaab stores your data locally on your device. If you don't create an account or export a backup, uninstalling the App, losing your device, or clearing its storage can permanently erase your data. We recommend creating an account or periodically exporting a backup (Settings → Data & Backup) if you want to protect against data loss.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose, to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the App or the services it relies on, or to interfere with other users' access to those services.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, and original content, is the property of Mehmet Ozen, except for third-party open-source components, which remain under their own licenses (see Settings → About → Open-Source Licenses for the current list). You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App except as permitted by applicable law.
Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services for optional features — specifically Supabase for account authentication and cloud backup, and your device's own platform location services for optional location-based calculations. Your use of those optional features is also subject to those providers' own terms, where applicable.
No Guarantee of Uninterrupted Operation
We do not guarantee that the App — including optional features like cloud sync or notifications — will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free at all times.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mehmet Ozen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to account-related features (such as cloud backup) for conduct that violates these Terms. You may stop using the App, or delete your account, at any time.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Louisiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
